Crummock successfully completed the installation of over 600metres of heavily reinforced structural concrete slab designed as a formation improvement layer for carrying the main tram track bearing slab.
We also completed over 400metres of second stage structural black concrete which forms the finished running surface throughout St Andrew Square. Over 200metres of new 300mm x 225 mm kerbs, which had been made especially for this contract from Scottish whin stone were laid. Bespoke tram stop platform edging was also installed. These had been produced especially for the project to be installed as a central point of the tram stop within St Andrew Square. We also completed bespoke Scoutmoor paving to the tram stop platform and laying of over 1,500m2 of 140mm deep granite setts. These were laid and grouted using the Steintec paving system. Over 1,800m2 of large gauge Scoutmoor sandstone paving was also installed.
