A6106, Dalkeith Landslip

These works comprised the reconstruction of a carriageway on a slipped embankment, part of the A7 Old Dalkeith Road which passes through the Sheriffhall Roundabout and becomes the A6106 which serves Eskbank and Dalkeith.  A section of road near Lugton Brae suffered a serious landslip and was completely closed to traffic.

The B7003 between Roslin and Rosewell had been closed for nearly four years by Midlothian Council due to a significant slippage of the hillside rendering the road impassable. Funds were eventually allocated to stabilise and repair the road and Crummock was appointed to undertake the works as Main Contractor.

A1 Musselburgh Bypass Resurfacing

The A1 is the major road heading South from Edinburgh, and is located to the east of the city.  It is also the longest numbered road in the UK at 410 miles (660km).

Crummock were appointed to resurface a section of this very busy and critical connection for commuters, businesses and visitors.  A lot of work was carried out at night to minimise disruption to traffic.

Almond Link Road was a new section of road approximately 190 metres long, constructed between the B7015 and Almond Interchange.  This included construction of complete new carriageway through open grass-land with construction of associated footways, drainage and attenuation systems, embankment construction, a signalised junction and a priority junction.
