This contract was a prestigious flatted development in which Crummock was involved from an early stage in working with the client and their design team to reach the most cost-effective and workable build out from commencement to completion.  This is an excellent example of Crummock's Technical Value approach to projects.

Crummock redesigned the planned and piled foundations, designed to secure an adjacent building, by use of a novel much less expensive but equally secure retention system.  Thereby saving over £125,000 for the client.

We also developed the use of waterproof concrete in the construction of the underground car parks.  This saved the client the time and cost of building a traditional membrane protected concrete structure.  The outcome was another cost and time saving to the client and resulted in a totally waterproof structure without any remedial work being required.

Crummock carried out a total re-design of the foul water drainage system.  This removed the need for deep sewage pumping chambers, removal of sewage by tanker and the reduction of the requirement for significant on-going maintenance.  This redesign saved a further £50,000 to £60,000 for the client.
