We currently have a vacancy for a Contracts Manager in our Surfacing Division. Applicants should have experience of both running a department and multi-discipline civil engineering sites.
The Contracts Manager will ensure the successful delivery of all Surfacing Division projects with adherence to agreed timescales, quality, cost, H & S, environmental aspects and revenue targets.
The position requires candidates to have extensive experience of achieving successful results in both a busy surfacing and civil engineering environment, together with commercial acumen and the ability to present Crummock in positive terms at any professional forum.
It is essential that candidates have a full understanding of multi-site/contract, civil engineering processes and have excellent programming ability. Demonstrable leadership and team building skills will be enhanced be excellent self-organisation and decision making capabilities and the ability to mentor and develop staff and operatives.
The position requires the ability to build relationships with clients, constantly communicate with them on progress and deal with any issues which arise by identifying mutually acceptable solutions.
Candidates will preferably have experience in a similar role and be PC literate with good understanding of drawings, specifications, conditions of contract and measurement. Experience of the requirements of CDM and its application by Principal Contractors would be required and the ideal candidate will be degree/HND qualified, hold a current relevant CSCS card and a 5-day SMSTS certificate.
