We're looking for a surveyor with strong civils experience. The right applicant will be able to demonstrate that experience to work as part of a team who consistently deliver profitable jobs and:
- Be accountable for the profitability of various contracts as part of the project team and deliver an appropriate commercial strategy for the work(s) to ensure delivery of required margins.
- Contribute to the management and maintenance of a project commercial plan reporting system ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date.
- Continually monitor project costs to completion in line with budget and ensure contract variations are identified, valued and agreed with the customer in a timely manner.
- Provide accurate monthly reporting (including sub-contractors) of cost and value on the project(s) in line with the Company's reporting process and terms of conditions.
Preferably educated to HNC/Degree level in Quantity Surveying, you will have experience working within the civil engineering contracting sector.
You will be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Conditions of Contract, Methods of Measurement, knowledge of construction and contract law, knowledge of basic civil engineering plant, equipment materials, labour costs etc. Good presentation, communication and IT skills also required.
