It acknowledges a responsibility for, and a commitment to, protection of the environment at all levels, and the prevention of pollution.

Crummock (Scotland) Ltd commits to complying with environmental legislation and to continually improving its environmental performance in order to:

  • Increase awareness of environmental responsibilities among staff;
  • Minimise the environmental impact of its operations by reducing the effects of associated noise, dust and disturbance
  • Promote environmental management policies and practices at all company sites through education and training of employees in environmental issues and the environmental effects of their activities;
  • Incorporate long term strategies for environmental management into corporate planning and development;
  • Utilise, wherever viable, materials and products from sustainable or recycled sources and adopt waste reduction techniques and good housekeeping practices to ensure the most efficient use of non-sustainable resources;
  • Avoid wherever reasonably practicable the use of environmentally damaging substances, materials and processes;
  • Reduce the use of all raw materials, energy and water and implement recycling where reasonably practicable.
